Bringing Back The Blog

I am often asked questions regarding the menstrual cycle and how to best support ourselves in these female bodies. While each body is different, I’ve found myself sharing similar answers with women in my local and virtual community over the last month. I’ve decided to take your questions and compile them into neat little resources that women can access at anytime.

Throughout my early twenties, I cultivated a couple of different blogs. I would share my experiences and thoughts as I traveled and explored both my inner and outer landscapes. As I aged, I started to feel more hesitant to share, fearing judgment and critiques not simply around my grammar, but also directed towards the heart of my messages. Could I write about my experience without upsetting others? Would everyone think I was wearing rose-colored glasses and had not experienced challenges in my life? These questions plagued me until I allowed myself to get smaller and smaller, eventually moving towards silence.

This morning, I was chatting with one of my mentors, Olivia Ashton. When I shared this fear of judgment she did not placate me, but rather simply stated, “Well, you will be judged.” No matter what we share, there will be people out there who might disregard you, think you are annoying (“Ouch,” says my inner child), or think you’re a bit of a weirdo for sharing so much about the womb, menstrual cycles, etc. So the question is not, “Will I be judged?” Rather, it is, “How will I respond to those judgments?” Will I stay deeply remained to my inner tether, my mission, and trust my intention behind sharing this work? In this way, my work in this world also translates to deep inner work, guiding my to a growth edge that I am willing to embrace.

With joy & vulnerability,
